Metal impregnated carbon: Activated carbon impregnated with metals such as silver and copper is called metal impregnated carbon. This variety is mainly used to remove cyanide compounds, and it is especially useful in water purification.
Oxidized impregnated carbon: Oxidized impregnated carbon is impregnated with oxidants such as hydrogen peroxide, nitric acid, sodium persulfate, and potassium permanganate, and it is specifically used to remove molecular toxins such as hydrogen cyanide.
